Eddie Gibson Charity Football Match

Our very own Elliott Raggio will be playing in a charity football match next Saturday 13th October 2pm Kick Off at Whitehawk football Club. The match is intended to raise money for the Eddie Gibson Charity School Fund.

Eddie was a close friend of Elliott and he has not been seen or heard from since he visited Cambodia in October 2004. Eddie’s family have worked tirelessly to discover exactly what has happened to Eddie but nothing as yet has been discovered.

About the Eddie Gibson Charity School Fund

Eddie’s family and friends want to create a lasting memory of Eddie. They aim to do this by sponsoring a Cambodian School using Eddie’s name at the forefront.

Please help anyway you can:

To help raise money Elliott and some of Eddie’s friends have organised for a charity match. There is two teams with 25 players on each team (roll on subs). Both teams are captained by Eddie’s brothers and managed by two close family friends. It will be a cup final winner takes all with the losing team manager receiving a wooden spoon!

We aim to raise over £5,000 with the sponsored match day programme already raising just over £1,000. On the day there is a raffle and everybody from the local community is welcome to watch a great game and have a fun afternoon.  Over the next year we will be arranging a golf day and a luncheon to help reach Eddie Gibson families target of £50,000
